Inventory adjustment Affecting Closed Projects

Hi All,

We re-evaluated our Free Stock (Sellable) and reduced the cost of certain Materials in Dec 2022. We did our Inventory Count in May 2023 and it seems all projects with Closed status where the items were consumed in previous years got a negative cost posted.

Is the above behaviour the standard and how can I re-evaluate the cost of my inventory and prevent closed projects from getting impacted?

All support will be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Ashish.V

    Hi Ashish

Has your organisation ever run the Inventory close process (Inventory management > Periodic > Closing and adjustment)?

On the Item model group of these items, how is the Inventory model set?

    Hi,
This article lists the steps to change the cost of posted receipt transactions, and then recalculate the cost of all shipments to inventory. Hope it will be useful.
