I am trying to find the field in Smartlist Designer that will link the Notes from the payables transaction into the Smartlist.
I've tried linking the 'Text Field" to the Payables Smartlist, but that does not return any results.
I think you're using the wrong table. Try the company>Record Notes Master (SY003900)
You'll want to join on the SY04200 (Comment Master) using the Noteindx field. Once join, you'll pull the CMMTTEXT field from the Comment Master table.
Also, just a heads up in case you run into issues when returning your data. The CMMTTEXT field is technically a TEXT field, not a VARCHAR field which you find in most tables in GP. If the results aren't coming through correctly, trying converting this field to a VARCHAR field using SmartList designed (or could connect it to a SQL view where it's converted).
