How to show account related contacts on business process flow?

Posted on by 110

Hello,

I am doing an opportunity to sales BPF and I should be able to choose account related contacts when filling the form via BPF.

The form will do that and it shows only the contacts that belong to that account, but when I fill out the form through the business process flow then I can choose any contact from the system. Therefore, there are difference between the form and BPF and I should be able to choose only account related contacts on business process flow as well.

Any ideas how I can filter account related contact on BPF? Thank you.

I think this is a bug or maybe intended functionallity, but you are right, the filter on the field when on the form does not behave the same when used in a BPF.

    Regards

    Paul

Can you please check if this works in a new record. Because, the field on the BPF mirror the same behavior of the field on the form. (checked)

My client does not want to have javascript. Is there any other solution to do that?

    Hello,

you can do this with javascript. Please check this Post:

    https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/245490/js-for-related-record-filtering-in-bpf---dynamics-365-online/679830

    Use formContext instead of Xrm.Page..

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/model-driven-apps/clientapi/reference/controls/addcustomfilter

I can help you if you have difficulties to implement your JavaScript.
