We have created a custom portal for customer. Portal is upgraded in incremental manner and deployed using configuration Migration tool and it works fine. But problem occurs when its requires to be rolled back to previous version as it does not delete the new records.
What are the ways to rollback the CRM portal other than saving the instance of database.

Agree with Mahen, There is no standard way/approach but to create the DB Back up. Other way is to export the portals records from the target and then if anything goes wrong with the deployment, import the old set of record.

Don't think there is easy option other than restoring your db from backup, another options could be to manually delete records based on the created date.
