Editing Description and External Document No in Customer Ledger Entries

I have noticed a change in functionality in Business Central where I can no longer edit the Description and External Document No. fields in the Customer Ledger Entries page. I am pretty sure the change occurred after one of the version 19 updates. We could certainly modify the Description and External Document No. fields in prior versions because we have documented the activity in our own end-user manuals. I just wanted to find out, is this a bug introduced in 19.x or is was it “fixed” because it should have never been allowed?

    It must had been a modification. I happened to have a copy of the customer ledger entry page from a 2019 version. Description and Ext. Doc are marked as editable = false

    Why it has stopped is a curious question. Any extensions removed recently? Any that didn’t make it through an upgrade? Or maybe you had a new version of the page created allowing for editing on those fields. Standard page ID is 25. I’d check over your installed extensions or contact your Microsoft partner

    Your suggestions gave me some ideas to dig into. I did have an extension to make the External Document No. visible but I removed this logged out and logged back in and it hasn't changed the edit on the Description and External Document no fields. Otherwise it is just the standard Customer Ledger Entries page 25. Not the end of the world as they say, I can still make bulk changes in Excel and upload them into a custom API web service page. Thanks for your suggestions.
