Address Subgrid not showing in Unified Interface?

Posted on by

I've created a new address subgrid on the account form, so that a user can easily add multiple addresses against an account. However, the subgrid will not show up in the Unified Interface. It still shows in the old V9.0 format.

Old V9.0 format:

New UI Format:

I've added subgrids to other entities successfully, but the address one just won't show up.

Any ideas?

I guess this is fixed in the latest build, my UCI app form started showing the Address subgrid on its own today.

Awesome, thanks very much for the update! We'll just have to wait patiently then.

As promised, here's an update of the communication with Microsoft regarding this.

Their support staff has confirmed that the issue exists on a vanilla/default instance of CRM. They have reported it to the developers. I asked for a very rough ballpark time estimate on this, and they said probably 1-2 weeks before there's a patch available IF the developers confirms that this is in fact a bug.

I'll let you know what they respond.

Sure, I'd love to know if you get an answer.

I'm betting that it's a bug that will be fixed in a future release (release date TBC)!

Sorry to hear that. I'll reach out to Microsoft and create a support case for this so I can get a definite answer to if this is a bug or by design.

    Hi Glenn,

Unfortunately not, I had to remove the Address subgrid and stick with the two out of the box address fields on the account. Not the most satisfactory solution, but I just couldn't find anything to help me.

I've just chalked it up to one of the problems with the new UI (along with things like split buttons being broken!).

    Hello!

We're facing the exact same problem. Did you ever find a solution for this?

We have made sure that "Available on Phone" is enabled and have tried to add the subgrid to different kinds of layouts (50-50%, 1/3 etc) but nothing works. CRM simply refuses to render the grid for just "Addresses". Any other entity renders fine in the same conditions.

Verify you checked the checkbox “Available on Phone” for that subgrid, section, tab.

Also verify the view being used for that subgrid, some issue identified when adding related record fields in first 3/4 columns.
