and upon checking the Application Pool the current State is Stopped.

Version: Business Portal 2.5 with feature pack.

Please Advice.

    Mike,

    This often occurs because the password on the identity running the app pool has been updated.  I'd recommend checking that first.  If that is the case, update it, and restart the app pool.
