Microsoft Dynamics 365 online - Logs

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I am facing some issues when I try to connect/import data from my Microsoft Dynamics 365 to MS-Access. I using the online version for Microsoft Dynamics 365. Server version: 9.0.0002.1468

I am getting the following error :

Server reported error: The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error. For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs.

This is the first time I am working with MSD 365. I want to get the logs to debug the issue, but I am unable to find logs.
How to export logs from MSD 365 online ?
Where are the logs are located ?

Does any body has faced this issue earlier ?

    Hi,

As mentioned above, for CRM Online, you need to contact Microsoft Support to get the logs. They can also help you troubleshoot/ fix the issue. You can use the below link to create the support ticket.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Partner,

Is there any button like "Download Log file" when the exception was thrown out?

Actually if you are using On Premise system , you could use many tools like CrmDiagTool or CrmTraceReader to help you trace and read.

While you are using D365 Online, you would want to raise the service ticket in Admin Center to contact D365 Online Support team to request for assistance with specified time and your org url. Or you could check the following article to review if there's any wrong operations when you did the import operation.

    support.office.com/.../Link-to-or-import-data-from-Dynamics-365-636079c1-9fc3-4fca-8410-6596d62223da

    Hope it would help.

    Regards

    Johnny
