Hi, I agree with Nitin, this looks like a custom feature.
As far as I know, SO does not have a Prepared state in NAV.
You can try debugging to see what is causing the problem.

I doubt if this is a standard system message coming, can you make sure if there is not development done during Sales order release.
If yes, you need to consult the same developer or your development partner to get this resolved.
