Hi
I have a client that logged a call to say they couldn't add items to a stock count schedule using the Mass Add button. I logged in to try myself and nothing seems to work. Not by Site ID, Item Number, Item Class - non of the selection criteria results in items being successfully added to the stock count schedule.
The client is on Version 9 (yes, I know, incredibly old - let's not focus on that point).
Has anyone come across this before - that it just stops working - and did you find a resolution?
Cheers
Heather

Heather,
Nice you hear you are on the customer's side regarding racking up costs.
Tim.
Thanks Beat - I was just thinking along the same lines myself. Good to hear that this has worked for you in the past. I think that is going to be my best option.
Tim - I had considered all those options but also was weighing up the dollars involved for the client in me spending all that time.
Thankfully this client will finally be going through an upgrade later this year.
Hi Heather,
I remember back in the days I was working with GP 8.5 that I had troubles with mass-adding item in the Stock Count routine.. I always ended up creating just the stock count schedule and adding the item manually thru an import into the table.. That was a long time ago, so I'd have to dig back into my notes and test it out.. as I'm not in town this week, it may take some time.
I wish I had a better answer, but the stock count was definitely buggy in the old days.
I've been thinking about this too but can't come up with any ideas, other than the ABC of problem solving, dex logging and SQL logging with SQL, just with the hope to get a clue as to the cause. Usual checking with sa to see if they can do it, switching off all mods and trying it. Check its not a modified GP window, try with an active directory admin user to eliminate any permissions. Check they are not getting any "funny" behaviour in any other parts of the system without mentioning it to you.
Usual stuff...
Tim.
strange issue, the table attached is a C tree temp table to the window, try deleting temp files from user's temporary folder.
The table will be created in the current user's temporary (Temp) folder using the naming convention TNT####.dat, TNT####.idx and TNT####.tmp.
