FRx Tree Problems/Recalculation

Posted on by 35

We are on FRx 6.7.10343.

We had a tree with about 200 branches (departments) and it was working fine. A user tried to reorganize the tree and add additional departments to it. The rows and columns are fine. Now when we run the tree it is tripling all the numbers. I'd rather not have to rebuild it and we are already looking into recovering from a previous backup.

My questions are:

1. What would cause this to happen on the tree? The user said she did get an error message but does not know what it was and it allowed her to continue and save. Is there a way to recalc or refresh the tree to fix the error?

2. If I have to recover do I just place the recovered sysdata folder in the existing sysdata folder?

This is probably a little late but you may check the Company Code (Column B) in your tree.  If there's a parent/child relationship and both levels of the tree point to the same company code, it may be adding it twice depending on the account mask in column G (more times if there are several children depending on the setup of the tree).  Most of the trees I have set up use @ANY for the company code in the parent level of each scenario of the tree.

Have you checked that everything is rolling up into your groups correctly?  It sounds like the groups are not rolling up correctly to me.
