Hi,
On several new GP2013 installs I've noticed that the Information Pane at the bottom of the Navigation Lists contains code rather than data. Why is this? Thanks!

Thanks for informing me that it is a bug to be addressed by Microsoft. I have not tried the suggested workaround and I doubt that it will fix the issue.
In an attempt to refine what may be causing the issue, I did some further testing using my PC and my user's PCs and different user Ids and received unusual results.
When I sign onto their PC using my network Id and my GP Id, the information pane is correct
When I sign onto their PC using my network Id and their GP Id, the information pane is code or they receive a File Download - Security Warning to save a .tmp file to their user\appdata\local\temp directory.

You probably don't care of my tests and results but it feels good to vent my frustration.
Thanks again.
So we heard from Microsoft that this is a bug here is the info:
The issue you're describing is one that has been reported before, and is currently scheduled to be fixed in our upcoming Spring release for GP 2013.
Are you using Business Portal, Workflow, or Web Client? If, and only if you are *NOT* using any of these products, you could try the following:
**Make sure you have FULL backups before modifying any files or databases**
We've had reported success at bypassing this issue by re-naming the dynamics.exe.config file to OLDdynamics.exe.config. If you still receive the error after doing this, or begin receiving different errors, you can name the file back to dynamics.exe.config.

Thanks for the info. I tried your solution on one user's workstation, but it didn't fix the problem. I will perform the clean up on other's PCs on Monday to see if works for them.
Hi,
We also found this issue on workstations that were installed to the default path. Our installer finally figured out that if you delete temp files on the workstation and delete history and cached files from IE, that fixed it. Hope this helps!!!

Hi Linda,
I'm having the same issue under the same configuration (installed on c: same path as you indicate) without Smartlist Builder. The Info Pane shows correctly on my PC and laptop but shows code on most other's PCs. You indicate that the question is answered but I don't see a solution in this thread. Did you resolve this issue and how? Thanks
Okay thanks.
Hmm I have only seen this were it is not installed to the C drive. You could run a Proc Mon and see if that helps but otherwise that is all I have ever seen it be.
Hi,
it is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2013
What is the path it is installed on though Linda?
Actually, no. This GP2013 SP2 is installed directly on the workstation.
Thanks.
