Weighted average stock closing not Zero

When looking at closing transactions for some of our items running weighted average the "Weighted average stock closing" entries do not add to Zero. For example the positive value is 8000 and the negative value is 4100 has anybody had this happening ?

    This depends on settings and namely the transactions you have in the system. can you elaborate with some examples?

    Thanks Andre. We are running Weighted average cost on most items on the system. Normally all transaction for the closing balance to zero which inherently updates thew cost price for the on-hand. For this specific item one of the closings did not balance to zero because of an adjustment entry that was allocated to the entry one was for 6278.23

    and the negative was for -2217.19 which means the two entries differ by round about 4000.

    If neccesary I can share the transactions with you as well via mail or something like that
