Thanks for sharing...it really helped!!!
I was doing it wrong, i was trying to add Article from Service-->Knowledge Article instead of Service-->Article.
After adding article and publishing it i resolved the issue

yes i have published article but not able to see it.

Do you have any Published KB articles in your organization? Articles in Draft don't show up.
