Allowing to post in closed fiscal year

Posted on by 95

Hello Dynamics Community.

I have a query. Grateful if someone can clear me on this.

Is it  realistic if we have already close a fiscal year and then still be able to post in that closed fiscal year after some time like when doing a credit memo or invoice dated that year.

Do navision does not give any error like you cannot post in that year because it has fiscally closed?

Is there any customization need to be done or it is the standard function of Navision allowing someone to post in fiscal year after it has already been closed.

Thanks for clarifying me.

    Hi,

Yes, the system will allow you to post into a closed financial year, however you can control this by specifying "Allowed Posting Dates" in the General Ledger Setup and User Setup.

For example, here I've set postings are only allow in November 2022.

Therefore, users will be prevented from posting prior to this unless specified otherwise on an individual basis in the "User Setup" window.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks
