Upgrading from Nav 4.00 to Nav 2015

Our company is preparing to upgrade (via an outside consulting firm) from Nav 4.00 to Nav 2015 --- has anyone experienced this large of an upgrade gap and if so, any advice/suggestions/tips?  What did you find to be the most difficult transition for users in the 2015 version?  What were your biggest hurdles?  Any ideas for the length of "testing/practice" time we should allocate prior to going live?  I appreciate your help!  Thank you!!

To add to the other 2 answers, I would say make sure you minimize the number of actual reports you move to 2015. RTC reports are difficult (read costly) to create and modify.

As Roberto suggested, for document level reports just try to see if they could be done with Word Layout. For analytical reports just consider ODATA + Power BI or 3rd party BI solution.

There is definitely lot of differences between NAV 4.0 and NAV 2015, well all are good differences and additions. I think the biggest would be Role Tailored Client instead of classic and there are also many other functionality changes.

The testing phase is lot dependent on how many customization you have in your current system.

    Most difficult \ biggest hurdles:

    > reports !   reports !!    ... try Word Layout for Document Reports

    > interfaces if you have (Dataport > XMLPorts), NAS is different (check your process)
