Integration Manager: How to load new ships to with orders

Posted on by 80

Hello All,

I am testing IM sales order processing. I am able to bring in the orders but NOT able to load order specific ship to addresses. Could some one tell what exactly I need to do to load ship to. We are on GP 2010

Thanks to all in advance.

I guess your only option is to have a second integration that reads your file and inserts/updates the customer addresses and then run your SOP integration.

Apparently the update option is not allowed on an SOP integration. I just checked and mine is the same way.

Thanks Richard, I have seen that option but for some reason I have Insert only on my drop down list. I looked around and dont know if there is a way to add insert/update property.

When you first open your integration right click on the integration name and choose properties. You can set the insert/update option right there. IM will still insert these addresses into GP. It does not matter whether the order is dropped shipped or not, GP needs the addresses for sales tax purposes.

These ship to addresses are drop ship addresses specific to a particular order. We do not want to maintain them at the customer level.

Under customer details it seems to have an option to load ship to and that's what I am testing.

Also on our installation integration is setup insert only and no other options. Any suggestions on how to change it.

You would need to run a customer integration first using your data to insert the new address ID before you import the sales orders. Set the integration to be an insert/update integration so it will add the new customer addresses.
