    Hi,

Without seeing the data and how your are doing the import, it is difficult to comment upon it.

It's better to use built in Excel function or Edit in Excel or copy paste function.

1 - Use Built in Export and Import function.

2 - Use edit in excel for quick data entry into Item Budget entry table.

3 - Last way is to do a copy paste of data from excel to Item Budget entry. It would be similar to edit in excel. In this case your column in BC screen and columns in Excel needs to be same.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello,

I would recommend using the option directly in the sales budget:

It is more complex to determine what happens with the configuration package, since we don't have all the context.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Hello,

Duplicates happen because Configuration Packages insert records instead of replacing them, so if budget entries for 2026 already exist (or if the key fields in your package don’t fully match the Sales Budget Entry primary key), Business Central treats the import as new lines and creates additional records. Config Packages are mainly meant for initial setup, not repeated transactional-style imports, so they don’t “merge” data automatically . The safest fix is to delete the existing 2026 budget entries before importing, or use the built-in Import from Excel on the budget page and choose Replace instead of Add to avoid duplicates .

    Regards,
    Oussama Sabbouh
