2008 was a leap year so the reporting period for a timesheet on 12/31/08 receives an error that The reporting period is missing or invalid. Is there some fix or service pack out there to fix this?

I have run in to this before, and there is a KB article (#891212) that has this workaround that I have used before...
"Do not enter a transaction that uses the last day of a fiscal year that contains 366 days. Use the day before the last day or the day after the last day for the transaction date."
