Have you ever installed Dynamics SL, working with Spanish version of SQL Server ?
We have a client that,due to internal policies, refuses to install English version of SQL Server. It has to be in Spanish. (We are in Argentina).
Do you know if SL works OK with this SQL Server language setting ?? I think collation should be "Modern Spanish".
What about Webservices or Management Reporter ??

We will have to make further investigations, as we have have always failed trying with this same configuration.
(Spanish version of Sqlserver and SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS as collation).
I have an installation in Chile, using the SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS collation and it works just fine, including web services and MR. Modern Spanish is in fact the recommended setting. Just be sure all your databases (including master and model) has the same collation setting.
Beware that at least up to SL 2011, the windows client is still an ANSI application. Some key fields reject non-ASCII characters at the GUI level. Some operations, such as importing data, don't work with unicode.
I have exchanged data at binary level between my on premise Spanish SQL setup and an English based azure SQL and it works fine as long as I keep the collation setting.
