    Lead form submission error

Since the form submission works fine after removing the consent checkbox, the issue is likely related to how the consent field is processed. Given that you're using the standard profile, here are a few possible reasons and solutions:

    Possible Causes & Solutions

    1. Consent Field Mapping Issue

    • Check if the consent checkbox field is correctly mapped to a field in Dynamics 365.
    • If it's mapped to a custom field, verify that it has the correct data type (Boolean/Two Options).

Solution: Go to Power Apps > Tables > Lead > Columns and verify the consent field's configuration.

    2. Incorrect Data Format in Submission

    • The system may expect a boolean (true/false) value, but it might be receiving a string (e.g., "Yes"/"No").
    • Some standard processes enforce specific formats, and incorrect data types can cause errors.

    Solution:

    • Ensure the checkbox value is correctly submitted as true/false instead of a text value.
    • If using custom scripts or Power Automate flows, check how the value is being passed.

    3. Required Consent Fields Missing

    • The consent field might be linked to another required field that is not being populated correctly.
    • Dynamics 365’s compliance features (like Marketing preferences) may require additional fields that are not being set.

    Solution:

    • Check if any required fields (e.g., Consent Type, Consent Given Date) are missing in the form submission.
    • Open the lead record after submission and verify if related consent fields are empty.

    4. Plugin or Workflow Processing Issue

    • A background plugin or workflow may be triggered when the consent checkbox is checked, but it might be failing due to missing data or misconfiguration.

    Solution:

    • Enable Plugin Trace Log in Advanced Settings > System Settings > Enable Logging and check for errors.
    • If you have any Power Automate flows handling consent data, review them for failures.

    Next Steps:

    1. Test different values for the consent checkbox (true/false vs. Yes/No) to see if format is causing issues.
    2. Check system logs (Plugin Trace Log, Power Automate run history) for error details.
    3. Compare the form submission data with and without the checkbox to identify differences.
    4. If using Marketing features, ensure all required fields for consent tracking are included.

Hi, if I remove the consent checkbox from the form, then it worked fine.  I am using standard profile, and I am not sure why, any suggestions?

The error indicates that the consent submission failed, but the lead was still created. This suggests an issue with the consent data format or the FormLoader script.
Impact: The consent may not be recorded properly, which could affect compliance tracking.
    1. Verify that the consent checkbox is correctly mapped in the form.
    2. Ensure the correct FormLoader script is used. If using a custom script, check for formatting issues.
    3. Check if any required consent fields are missing or incorrectly formatted.
    4. Review plugin/custom workflow logic handling consent submission for errors.
If the issue persists, enable plugin trace logs for deeper debugging.
