Total amount Breakdown by products

Hi everyone!!!

I am working in company that has two family of products. For the same opportunity, the company sells the products interchangeably. But they want to view the total amount for each family. See the example

Product	unit	Price per unit	Total line
Product 1 (family 1)	4	50	200
Product 2 (family 2)	5	25	125
Product 3 (family 1)	8	40	320
Product 4 (family 2)	9	45	405

Total family 1	520
Total family 2	530
Total Amount	1050

Does anyone have an idea?

Hi Jose,

CRM does not provide the total amount each product family.

If you really want you either create new custom entity with field product family name and total amount or you can just use custom report, so that you can always get new value.

Hi

Please try to create custom attributes for each family total on opportunity and try to write a plugin on opportunity line item level(create/update/delete) and update total fields on the opportunity.
