We have a multi-site environment using Master scheduling. Storage dimensions are setup for mandatory site, non-mandatory warehouse. The Production BOM only has Site no warehouse.

When running Master scheduling and doing an explosion the production BOM explosion always shows a shortage for the BOM lines. There is on-hand quantity at the Site/Warehouse. Does AX look at the Site level to see what is on hand? My question is, that I would like to get verification on, does the BOM require a warehouse for each BOM line?

My hypothesis is that Master plan will always try fixing inventory errors and your effort into making it easier (shortcuts), like Warehouse being used but not mandatory, is causing issues.

Could you screenshot your storage dimension and BOM inventory dimensions?

Also... If you could screenshot the net requirements for the item.
