Email Template when sending quotes or invoices

Posted on by 55

Hi all,

I am trying to make Email templates to insert when sending an invoice or quote etc. via Email.

I am stuck at the dear sir / dear madam / dear sir or madam header. What do you insert that the system

chooses the right one? All I can do is insert the first and surname.

Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the answer!

How would you customize the data set of a report?

    Hi Karl,

I also had this problem in several projects but I did not found a solution which works in standard version. We always had to customize the data set of our reports to have a salutation which fits to german needs. This new field in data set of the report can be added with a word layout in email templates.

Other solution is to buy an addon to make this possible.

Would be great if this becomes standard functionality!

Hi, I have customized this function for customers before, similar to honorific field, you can set Mister, Misses, Doctor, Professor and so on in it.

This field will be displayed on customer-defined reports. . .(I'm not sure if this is available as a standard feature now.)

Hope this can give you some hints.

    Thanks.

You have two way to do that

One: user one of the field that is in customer card or contact card and is available in Quote that you have no use for it then populate it with Sir / Madam

Or change Sir / Madam to "whom it may concern" or "Dear Customer" or etc
