Hi Indira, that field is not really something you configure on the order, the system stamps it. The setup sits in Service Mgt. Setup, where you give the hour intervals and an email address per level, Send First Warning To and the rest.
What drives the timing is the Response Time (Hours) coming from the service item or the contract, counted from the order date and time. Two conditions have to hold or nothing fires at all, the service order status must be Pending and the repair status code on the service item line must be one flagged as Initial. Once work has started it stops warning you.
The bit most people miss is the job queue. The service email queue codeunits need entries on Job Queue Entries, otherwise the status changes quietly and no mail ever leaves. Each level also sends only once, resetting the field by hand won't re-trigger it.
Glad to help - follow up if anything is unclear.
