Hi Patti,
Can you provide more details as to what type of transaction that you are entering, and just to clarify, are you saying that it shows as being posted, however the user does not recall posting the transaction? Typically in GP, if it shows posted, you would not be able to delete, you would need to do some type of reversing entry to reverse what was posted, or void in some cases, but you cannot delete a posted transaction. I hope this helps.
