Hello, I am an intern learning about Business Central. I just started going over the Production Module, and I have some questions for setting up since all of the videos I have found are for already done set ups.
My idea was initially to make a master item a silver pendant necklace, and have BOM silver, chain and clasp. I set up work calendar with shifts and hours, absences and i started setting up work and machine centers. There I have a problem, I want to set up work centers for casting, assembling, polishing and packaging, and quality control. In the work center card i have to fill in the scheduling field which confuses me I do not understand if capacity is how many machines or people will work in that center or how long many items can it produce in a day. Also, when i started creating machine centers for the machines i want to use i have to put direct cost which i am guessing should be a part of the cost i should put in my work center cost. And, there I need to set scheduling as well and capacity is what confuses me as well.
If somebody has some tips on how to set up for production, I would be grateful as I already went through the Microsoft learn documents about setting up manufacturing but i do not quite understand everything.
