One of your AL / VSCode tutorials referred to a startupObjectID of 5 (which turned out to Currencies). Where can I see a list of D365 preset tables and their ID's? A data dictionary or schema if you will?

    The object IDs are the same as in NAV. You can download a docker-based sandbox and here you have access to C/SIDE.

    P.S. startupObjectID is not mandatory to have.

    Please excuse my ignorance, I'm new to Business Central. I've been told that NAV (or Navision) is a previous incarnation, correct? So comparing to NAV is of no use for me. I'm using a Microsoft Sandbox now. Can I find a list in there somewhere? If not, is there not a web-page somewhere that lists tables and their ID's?

    What I mean is that object IDs are exactly the same as in NAV 2018, nothing changes.

    Regarding sandbox: on an online sandbox, you don’t have access to CSIDE so you can’t see objects. If instead you create a local sandbox with Docker, you can access CSIDE and see tables and every object ID.

    As I said, I have no knowledge of NAV 2018. Whether it's the same or different does not help me. So there's no reference web-page listing tables & ID's? If no, how do I go about creating a local sandbox with Docker?

    No there's no reference page. As a workaround, you can go to 'Configuration Worksheet', select Table ID column and then drilldown:
