You can follow the steps in the following blog to set up email configuration in dynamics CRM.

You will need to server side synchronize of your CRM. Then you will be able to send emails from your Accounts and Contacts.

You need to setup Server side synchronization (SSS) of email or outlook integration.
SSS is the preferred way
