55 Hello all, I’m sure this has been addressed before but I’ve had trouble finding the info. We use GP9 for Inventory control and would like to significantly improve its ability to help us project ordering needs, etc. Ideally, we’d like to use the info in the system to help us plan and suggest order quantities based on prior sales (e.g. produce reports with suggested order quantities based on same-period-last-year usage, taking into account current on-hand qty, current on order qty, backorder qty, lead time, etc.). The “Resource Planning” sections seem to scratch the surface of this but seems quite limited in GP9. Is there any other method or plug-in/third party app that would make this possible (perhaps allowing our purchaser to run weekly reports with suggested order quantities for inventory items as described above)? We have begun exploring using Crystal Reports to pull the data directly from the SQL tables and run logic against it but it really seems like somebody else has probably devised a solution for this.
