Work Templates Maximums not splitting Work Headers over a Pallet

Hi all,

I have looked around and havent been able to find a question exactly the same as this so figure its worth creating a post to try and identify where I am going wrong.

The issue is as follows:

On the Work Templates we require the work to be split so that it only ever equals 1 pallet worth of stock per work header.

- If it is a single item with quantity of a full pallet split into its own work header.

- If there is a mix of items then calculate the work header up to a pallets maximum (either by volume or weight) and split based on this to multiple work headers.

- If there is a mix of full pallets and smaller quantities such as outer cartons/pieces then incorporate the above two points to split based on full pallets and by weight/volume.

We have tried setting the maximums on the Work Templates and using restrictions by unit on the location directives but somehow always seem to end up with some work headers totalling what would be more than a single pallets worth of items.

If anyone has ever had any experience with this and could point me in the right direction that would be great, and if you need any further details from me please let me know.

Many thanks

Have you got it to work for the single item / full pallet scenario?

Hi Guy, yes in instances we have had it split full pallets when its only a single item if the quantity is above a full pallet. For this we were using the Package Quantity as Maximum toggle which seemed to work reliably.

Its more so when there is a mix of items it sometimes successfully splits but on other work headers it contains multiple pallets worth or a pallet and multiple other items.

I feel like we just have our config mixed up as additionally on work that was tested yesterday the location directives picked from two locations which both had a full pallet of stock available and only picked 4 and 2 from them respectively when a pallet is 6. This should have been a full pallet and split into its own work along with the other full pallet and then the remaining items. The image below is the example outlined above:

    Cheers
