RapidStart Role Center - missing?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I hear there is a role center specifically for a RapidStart administrator. Is this true?  If so, my NAV does not seem to have it. Is there a way I can get it?

I am working in a NAV installation in which I was not involved in the install. I am simply creating a company in it - is it possible this role center was hidden when the installation was performed?

I am referring to this btw: https://community.dynamics.com/nav/b/threadpunter/archive/2017/05/27/rapid-start-services-in-microsoft-dynamics-nav-2017

Thank you that is helpful.  However, I am interested in getting help creating a worksheet. Well, not "how" to do it... but with "what" to put in it.

The second screenshot in that post - he shows an Area of NAV Setup, then an area of "Master Files" with a "GL" Group, etc...

How did he know what areas and groups to create?  And which tables to include?

THAT is what I'm trying to do....  is there a way to analyze my current NAV (classic client) to figure this out?

Do you mean a guide on using RapidStart services. This link shows all:

    community.dynamics.com/.../rapid-start-services-in-dynamics-nav

This is a tool useful for data transfer (in and out) from NAV.

Gotcha. Maybe my localization doesn't show it by default. (BE)

But, yes I've gotten to the configuration worksheet thru search.

Is there a guide somewhere that would help me set this up?  how do I know what I need to put in here?  I assume that is highly dependent on my company.... but is there a guide to any kind of accepted practice?

We are a supplier. We produce goods and sell them. We purchase materials, etc. There must be some kind of standard template for this worksheet?

Yes there’s this, at least in many localizations. However, you can reach the RapidStart Functions by using search.
