Dynamics BC Performance Issues

Posted on by 2
I experience peformance issues fetching Dynamics BC data.  Pages take many seconds to load before I have full control of the page.  Snip is shown below.

I have peformed lots of software maintenance and hardware diagnostic testing.  No issues have presented themselves.

Performed a fresh install on Win 11 Pro but still see the same issues.  Workstation is a DELL laptop, i5 processor, 32 GB RAM, SSD.  Internet connection is fiber with 500 up 500 down.

We have tested loading the same data with other user accounts on several different workstations.  One other person in our small business has the same issues but no one else does.

All other apps (Chrome & Edge browers), MS Office 365, AutoCAD LT, Rockwell Studio 5000 etc., run great.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

First, I suggest you try the In-client performance profiler function to see if it is a standard issue or a custom issue.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi Mike,

The first step I would suggest is to identify the extension which is slowing down loading of the page.

Use Page Inspection for same. If you don't know how to do that refer here - https://youtu.be/H303Zl-OG8c?si=uj0o2LNddVt8nIhg

Hi, there are many reasons that can lead to a performance issue. I recommended that utilizing Tenant Insights dashboard to see if there are any extensions, errors, long running AL queries, long running SQL queries, long running OData or API processes or to see if there is any locking, etc.   Open Tenant Insights dashboard, select tenant and environment, then you can review SQL Query usage, AL usage, Web Services Usage and other performance metrics.
    The reference MS document:
    Hope it helps.
    Best Regards,
    Judy
