Hello everyone,
A client reported that their server crashed and they want to retrieve their data from the sql back up that they have.
They are using Microsoft Great plain 9.0
Please I need a guide on the best way to retrieve this data. with the fact that I have window 7 as my operating system.

The process will depend on just how much is lost. Is there old server completely offline now? Was it the OS drive that went down or the data drive? Can they bring up a server with the same version of the OS and SQL? What kind of backups do they have, image backups or SQL backups? You might want to give this KB a read(KB 878449).
