Hello All -

After posting workflow approved general journals I've noticed that when running the related Print Journal reports that the 'Approved by' field is blank. Why would this be the case? Is there a parameter I need to turn on somewhere? Are there out of box reports that I can give an auditor that will list all posted transactions and who approved each one?

D365 consists of many applications, such as Finance & Operations, Sales or Business Central. You're asking in D365 general forum, therefore it's not clear which product you have in mind. It looks like Finance & Operations to me, but please confirm it before I move the thread to the right forum.

Hi BarryR,

With respect to workflows in general, any records they create treat the creator as the owner of the workflow.

So it should be the same for "approved by", but in fact such a design is not implemented,

perhaps to differentiate from manually approving users, since the owner of the workflow may also be part of the manually approving user group.

It is recommended that you design a workflow that automatically populates field when the field is empty.

Incidentally, I don't know how to do it in F&O. As far as I know the workflow is available in Finance so you can ask in the Finance forum how to complete this workflow.
