I've created this report in Report Builder 2.0. I should have specified that.
I need to know how to create the expression in report builder 2.0.
This looks like it would be easier in an Excel Pivot Table. Do you have SmartList Builder (which includes Excel Builder and the data connections you need)?

For your scenario,
if date range as parameter, use 2 temp table for 2 date ranges. attach the 2 temp tables in your report to display the Item Sum as you displayed above.
In case of smartlist report use 2 views to display the above case.
