Portal invitations are invalid

Dynamics sends the portal invitations but when I attempt to open it I get an error message.  The URL in the invitation looks like this 

http://localhost:7500/register/?returnurl=%2f&invitation=

When I attempt to open it the browser reads

"This site can’t be reached
localhost refused to connect."

What am I doing wrong?

    The hostname of your site is wrong the bit that reads http://localhost:7500/ should read http://portalname.xyz.com/ You will need to customise the invite and change the URL see docs.microsoft.com/.../set-authentication-identity
