If these make you exceed you current maximums then The Reformatter from www.crgroup.com is you only choice. Can you tell us what your current maximum account length and maximum number of segments are and also what you want the new settings to be?
We are trying to make more Segments and lengthen them as well.
Depending on what you are exactly trying to do, you may need The Reformatter product from www.crgroup.com. Check with their support staff. Are you trying lengthen it to make room for more segments or are you trying to lengthen existing segments?
I understand that the Maximum Account Length can only be set as per GP installation, but our GP has been in production for over 10 years, and now we need to change the Maximum Account Length to a higher number. So i was wondering if there is any way we can do it without reinstalling the GP?
When you install Dynamics GP the maximum account length is 66 and the maximum number of segments is 10. You have the option to set these to any values less than these. There is an option to set the default segment length on the Tools->Setup->Company->Account Format screen. That value can be changed
