Required field in D365 for financials

I made a powerapp based on D365 for financials 'Contact list' connection. The data went well from D365 to the app. However, it failed reversely. I put in data in the app, but there were three required fields: No., Company Link, Etag. Those fields are created in D365 automatically. I don't know how to fill in the fields by users. Does anyone know how to convert the required fields to optional fields? Or anyone have any idea how to deal with the problem?

Thanks!

    Hi Maureen,

    Thank you for the questions.

When you stated that pushing data from the app to Dynamics 365 for Financials failed, did you encounter an error? Was it this error, "The requested operation is invalid: Server Response: invalid mashup expression using supplied values. inner exception. The value is not updatable."? If so, the reason is that the connector which is used to communicate between the powerapps and Dynamics 365 for Financials doesn't presently support writing data to Financials. The connector's present design allows for only reading/viewing (not writing) of Dynamics 365 for Financials data. We are hoping to add the write functionality within the next couple of updates to Dynamics 365 for Financials.

The best way to keep apprised of recently released or upcoming features is via the Roadmap page here: roadmap.dynamics.com.

    Hi Tammy,

I'm experiencing similar problems when integrating with NAV2017.

Do you have an ETA on the write functionality? This would significantly higher the use of PowerApps.

    Best regards,

    Gregory

Is this still a problem (being unable to write back to D365 for Financials Business Edition) I too am receiving the mashup error.  Is PowerApps still only able to read and not write back?

    thanks
