scanning weight embeded barcode

Hello, a question. I do have weight scale for meat, it does print barcode. I would like to scan it from cash register with MS dynamics pos 2009. does any one know how to do this or have manual?

Can this be done on RMS 2.0 if one code for ItemLookUp and one code for weight available?

This is called type2 barcodes. You will need to know the how many digits for Indicator, Code, Item Number, and Item Price, and check digit.

The option to setup this is under Manager -> System -> Options -> Inventory -> Price Embedded bar code formats. Click New. Then define the format. Tells you how on the screen.

After you have to format setup. You will need to add the items and set the barcode format of the item to the format that you created.

Usually I name the format for the location of the scale. If you have multiple scales, you should make sure they all print the same.
