eConnect error 1099 Amount

Posted on by 70

Hello,

We have a .NET solution that imports via eConnect a record into the Payables Transaction Entry screen. It works fine, but on one customer's site, it throws this error:

Field 1099 Amount not found in the Payables.taPMTransactionInsert type.

The odd thing is it works fine in my system, imports the right value and when I pull the record up in GP, it is exactly as it should be set. Not sure why this error happens on their site but not on my GP system.

thanks

No, I haven't compared the exact builds yet, but both systems are in 2018, mine is the first build I'm sure, so they have to either be on my build or higher. So that kind of makes me think versions not an issue. I will check to see if they are on an outdated version of eConnect, that is possible, and I do believe this field wasn't there on older releases. Thank you for your reply, I'm hoping it's something like this. Yes, value wise, I believe it's just a numeric value for both of us. I will take a closer look at their build version today to see if that helps.

    Best Regards

To verify, your Dynamics GP version/build and the customer's are exactly the same, correct? I.e. for GP 2018, it'd be something like 18.00.####.

Also, have you installed and using the latest release of eConnect for Dynamics GP 2018, just to rule out the service or stored procedures not being out of date and including any new parameters added?

I'm not sure how to really say why your .NET solution via eConnect works fine on your environment but not on your customers, especially if both environments are on the exact same GP version and build, using the latest version of eConnect, as the stored procedures being called, i.e. taPMTransactionInsert specifically in this example, should work the same in both environments.

What I'd look for is differences in setup or values being passed via eConnect, such as the TEN99AMNT value, based on the error.

    Thanks
