Hi,

I am deploying new build Environment for continuous build and package generation.

I created a new agent pool (not default). In VSTS Project, I created a new pipeline (with empty job) and gave name, agent pool as newly created agent pool.

when I deploying the Build server through LCS, I gave the build Agent name, Agent pool which is newly created and branch name.

when i proceed further, am getting error as

When I check the agent in created agent pool, It shows "No agents are registered or you do not have permission to view the agents."

How to come over this issue?

check if your pipeline policy allows the pool to be used

and review security for team repository and suggest

Hi Rahul, Previously I created an agent pool in that I didn't enabled "Allow all pipelines to use this pool" in policies.

I did same like that in the new agent pool. And also I checked the security of repository, the user who is deploying the environment is havind project administrator rights.

Is it necessary to set the VSTS project in LCS Project - Project setting - Visual studio team services - Visual studio Team services Project as same as the project where we creating pipeline.

Yes, I would assume the pipeline needs to be in the same ADO project that your LCS is linked with. That's where your code should be as well.

Also, the build environment setup will create the pipeline, you should not create it manually.

while deploying build environment, we have to create new agent pool in devops and provide it in the below "Build Agent Pool" and branch name.

That will create the agent for the corresponding agent pool.

Is that right?
