Work Flow Triggered By Change Not Stopping After Complete

We are trying to set up a notification that will alert a user when their Case has been updated. The issue we're running into is that once the work flow starts, it doesn't stop sending emails until you close the Case form.

Example: John opens a case for computer service. A CSR comes in and updates the priority on the Case to "High". The work flow sees this change and sends John an email. If the CSR immediately closes the Case form, only one email is sent. However, if the CSR has the Case open on his/her monitor, then the work flow will continue to send emails every few seconds to John.

I have attached screenshots of the setup in case someone can spot where we went wrong in the setup.

    It sounds as if something is writing to the PriorityCode field, causing the workflow to fire repeatedly. Some suggestions:

    1. Enable auditing for the entity if it is not already enabled, and check the Audit History for changes to the prioritycode field. This might provide clues as to what is happening.

    2. Check for any Business Rules, plug-ins or javascript running on the form.

    3. Try changing the workflow to a background workflow.

    Check whether Auto Saving is causing the issue to send repeated triggering of workflows in turn sending multiple emails

    Do you have any other workflows that are updating that entity?

    I added the Stop Work Flow step as suggested, but it is still sending multiple emails. As long as I have the Case form open in my browser, it sends an email every 30 seconds or so.

    I would put in either a complete stop at the end of the workflow or a check to see the status of the case and if it is closed then do not send and then the stop condition
