Right clicking design/grid/group controls in the VS form designer cause a ~30s hang + unknown error

Right clicking on the design to change the pattern on a form causes VS to hang for 30 seconds and then error without explanation - "One or more errors occurred".

Fixes attempted:
  • Full rebuild
  • Restarting VS
  • Clearing the component model cache
The hang and error happens when right clicking on the design of any form. I can right click on anything else just fine.

Further details:
Right clicking on yellow works fine. Right clicking on red causes the hang + error. Tested across all forms and across multiple different VS instances.

I had power platform running 7.0.7858.80 and installing the latest proactive quality update 7.0.7858.102 resolved it.

    Hi @CU21050616-0

Enable the logging in VS and try to find the error message.

    Hi

Which .net framework you have using?

Additionaly do you have the same issue with other VM as well?

Finance and operations: I had this running 7.0.7858.80 and installing the latest proactive quality update 7.0.7858.102 resolved it temporarily.
The issue came back for me after one week - I am still on version .102

Most colleagues were on version 7.0.7858.96 and had no issues.

One colleague was also on .80 and had the same problem as me - updating to .102 has resolved it for him permanently.
