We have 2 test companies, 2 historical companies and 1 live company. When I create a user from scratch, there is no specific role/task/object access assigned -- just company access with no roles assigned at all. Despite this, there is an option available from the transactions menu as follows:
Transactions > Payroll > Accrue
Once I click this, I get the expected result:
"You don't have security privileges to open this window. Contact your system administrator for assistance. Security Access Denied to Window: TA_Accrual_Transactions (Accrue Attendence) in Dictionary 414 (Human Resources)."
I have looked up this message via SDT and have found that there is no child for this specific menu item under that same menu hierarchy within SDT. I have looked up that exact "TA_Accrual_Transactions" by dictionary within SDT and have found that it does not appear anywhere under the Payroll dictionary nor is there an option I can find anywhere to deselect this. It is, however, an item under Human Resources
The really weird part is that this particular user in question has no tasks assigned at all. None! This menu item is simply there. The even weirder part is that the menu item in question is not there when I log into our test company with that same user with the same security. However, once again, there are NO security assignments made to the user in question which suggests to me that this is a weird Dexterity bug.
Has anyone come across anything like this before? I am completely boggled at this point.
Thanks either way.

Yes this is a bug that has been reported. Development has determined that this will not be fixed as the user does not have access to the window the option is just listed.
