MR 2012 RU5 Latest Hot Fix breaks GP Legacy Option

Posted on by 75,730

After trying to apply the latest hot fix to MR 2012 RU5 I can now longer configure the GP Legacy Option. In the log file in this. What must I do to enable the GP Legacy option?

By the way, there is no SYUPDATE table in the DYNAMICS database and the DU000010, DU000020 and DU300000 have almost no records in them and their structure is different. There is no PRODID column  in the DB_Upgrade table. So I have another 11.00.1524 GP instance, can I change the structure of these tables and populate the records with what is necessary or should I open a support case with MS to make sure I correct all the tables with the proper values. It appears that this happened when they went from SBM 8 to GP 8.

Ryan, it sounds like when applying a hot fix to MR there is no reason to deply the Legacy GP option again. That would explain why MR appears to be working just fine. I will check but I bet the GP Legacy option already exists. I was a bit confused because with this hot fix you have to unistall MR and then run the hot fix so I just started going through the normal installation procedure. It would be easier if you could just apply the hot fix and it would upgreade whatever it finds just like every other piece of software.

    Hi Richard,

I took a look and could not reproduce this at first. I looked into it a bit more and it looks like this occurs if you already have a legacy integration configured, and then add the same integration a second time.

So either the integration exists and it isn't appearing in the Configuration Console or you are encountering an incorrect duplicate error.

Are you getting any errors in the Configuration Console that integrations can't be displayed or is the legacy integration already present? I'd start by looking in those areas.

    Thanks

    Ryan
