Hi,
Greetings.
I am working on AX 2012 R2. The user forgot to enter the Financial dimensions in PO.
Now the PO is posted & received and the finacial dimensions like cost center, dpeartment and employee
This dimensions are needed for reporting purposes
If I need to write x++ code what would be the tables i need to consider in Ax 2012

As you are on an older version. if I were you I would cancel the transactions and start from the beginning. I think it is wiser than touching the code.

I would suggest the quick fix is for accounting to create a general journal to adjust this rather than writing code.
Credit, Acct---
Debit, Acct-CC-DPT-EMP
They can use excel to create and upload the journal lines, if a lot of transactions need to be corrected.
The longer term robust solution is to ensure the account structures are configured to enforce values are entered for these dimensions for the applicable main accounts.
Then if PO approval is used, when submitting to PO approval workflow the dimension values would be validated against the account structure, and error message returned if not valid.
Without approval workflow, this check would occur at posting product receipt and posting invoice, so fail to post until corrected on PO.
