Multiple Ship To Addresses

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I currently work in a system where we are only utilizing one Location Code for all our incoming purchases/inventory, however, we have 5 different buildings at 5 different addresses.  Is there a way to enter more than one address for just the single Location Code that we can utilize on the PO?

It probably should not have been set up this way initially, now I am just trying to keep my vendors from being totally confused about where they are supposed to ship to!

If you have 5 different buildings/addresses, you should have 5 Locations on NAV. How do you maintain Inventory control?

In Standard NAV it is not there to maintain multiple location using 1 Location Code, You have to go for Custom workaround soutions.

    Good Morning,

You pose a very interesting question! Aside from maybe some custom code workarounds, a very good solution might be looking into a transportation management solution add-on for NAV that supports natively multiple ship-from and ship-to addresses. Typically this would work from SO, TO and PO transactions from a single location code. This way you can avoid custom coding as well as being covered for your next CU or version upgrade.

    Hi,

In Standard Dynamics there is not any functionality as per your scenario to maintain different addresses for one location card.

If you want multiple addresses for one Location card then customisation is required.
