Hi, We are using Microsoft Dynamics GP10 in our organization with Service pack 4, the size of our database has been reached upto 26GB which seems quite strange because in some other sites after 3 to 4 years sizes of databases not greater then 2 to 3 GB. We are feeling that our system is going slow day by day espacially when we work in Manufacturing Module.

Mohammad is correct. Keep in mind that each manufacturing MO creates inventory issue transactions for each component each time it is issued, inventory receipt transactions for each receiving from WIP, and a series of up to 18 GL transactions for each item issued/received. Add to this transactions for labor and overhead costs, outside costs, et cetera. This can create a large db if you have a significant amount of manufacturing occuring.

It depends on the number of daily transactions you have and the modules you have activated.
Do you have the Lot Tracking Active? Analytical Accounting? Multi Bins? All make difference.
