Convert record to inStream

I'm looking to add a Record as an attachment to an email, but the EmailMessage.AddAttachment method requires an Instream or Base64 text object.
How can I convert my Record to one of those types?

    i think the best way is to devlop a report with record information and then you can attach to an email.
